Under my skin (detail)
Under my skin (detail)

Each work in this series uses one of my own fingerprints continuing my constant fascination with identity. Contained within each black mark, as a child looks for the faces in the clouds or monsters in the shadows, are 100s of figures. The drawings in the series almost take the form of a visual diary of anonymous moments, unidentified beings and encounters sometimes imagined and sometimes real.

"33" - installation view
"33" - installation view

“33” is an installation that combines painting, drawing, digital images, objects, text and documentation of performance in order to enhance my exploration of the “whole”. As people we are in a constant state of flux and it is impossible to create one single work that can fully illustrate this shifting dynamism. Every work I have created is (one facet of) yesterday’s portrait. And each fragment I add enriches and expands the changing ways the viewer responds to these new takes on identity.
